Our technology

What makes GEOX rubber outsoles different from the traditional outsole?
The traditional rubber outsole causes condensation on the sole of the foot, creating a plastic-bag effect around it. Perspiration lingers in traditional shoes; this can lead to undesirable foot odor and other related problems. GEOX rubber outsoles contain a special microporous membrane that is both breathable and waterproof: it absorbs and expels sweat without letting water in. Feet are kept dry and at the right temperature.

How does the GEOX technology work?
A series of holes are made in the rubber outsole, positioned in correspondence to the highest concentration of sweat glands on the sole of the foot. The perforated rubber sole contains a special microporous membrane that absorbs and expels sweat without letting water in. The process is made possible because the membrane’s micropores are larger than water vapor molecules, but smaller than water droplets, keeping water out and feet dry. Sweat, in the form of vapor, can pass through the membrane and out through the perforated sole. The gradual elimination of humidity from the inside of the shoe creates the ideal microclimate for healthy feet; no more bad odors! Your feet will stay warm and dry in winter and cool and dry in the summer season.

Can water get into my shoes through the perforated outsole?
The membrane’s micropores are smaller than the water drops, which therefore can’t pass through the membrane.

The GEOX membrane is made from an extremely porous material, with more than one billion micropores per cm2: Each one of these micropores is 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, so water molecules are too large to get inside the shoe. However, the micropores are also 700 times bigger than molecules of sweat vapor, so sweat can easily pass through the membrane and out of the perforated sole.

GEOX guarantees the impermeability of the perforated sole but not of the entire shoe.

GEOX styles vary from country to country, based on the different trends and needs of consumers around the world. GEOX USA does not necessarily offer the same styles that our other overseas markets may carry and vice-versa.

Do you ship outside the US or to US Territories?
We ship: within the continental United States(this includes Alaska), Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam & The Virgin Islands. We also ship to US Military APO/ FPO/DPO addresses.

Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally and to other US territories. We apologize if this is an inconvenience. Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.


In what sizes are your shoes made? What size should I order?
GEOX shoes are manufactured in European sizes.

Women - Most women's styles are offered in sizes 35 through 42, with half sizes available in many styles.

Men - Most men's styles are offered in sizes 39 through 47, with half sizes available in many styles.

Children - Our toddler styles are offered in sizes 17 through 21; baby styles in sizes 21 through 25; junior styles are offered in sizes 26 through 41, with half sizes available.

Does GEOX make shoes in various widths?
At this time our collection is only made in a medium width.

Do you have a warranty on your product?
All GEOX products are covered under our warranty against material and manufacturing defects; however, this is not a guarantee against wear and tear.

I have worn the shoes, but they are uncomfortable. Can I still return them?
Shoes must be in original, unworn condition to be accepted for returns/exchanges (unless defective). Please make an informed decision on the correct size to order by using our size conversion chart before ordering.

How do I return/exchange my shoes?
All shoes must be returned in original, unworn condition for refund or exchange, unless they are being returned for defective reasons. Please use the return/exchange form and prepaid UPS return label to send the shoes back to us. If you are missing any of this paperwork please let us know, so we can mail it out to you. When returning a product containing batteries it is important to return using the original packaging which is specifically labeled for battery transport. Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

We will be happy to replace the item if a member of our quality inspection team finds it defective. If it is not found to be defective, we will return it to you as soon as possible.

What is your return policy?
GEOX stands by its product. If you are unhappy with your order you may return your purchase within 30 days of shipment for a refund or exchange. Shoes must be in original, unworn condition to be accepted for returns/exchange (unless defective). Beyond 30 days, our products are guaranteed against defects and workmanship.

Straight returns are charged a fee of $5.95 if the UPS Pre-Paid Return Sticker provided is used. The cost of shipping an item back to is always the responsibility of the customer (note: exceptions to this policy are made for defective items). No shipping charges will be applied to exchange orders.

We will process your return/exchange 2-3 business days after it is received at our warehouse. If you did not receive a Merchandise Return Form with your order, please print, fill out and return this Return Form (Acrobat PDF) for your return/exchange. You will receive an email from us to confirm the receipt and processing of your return. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund credit to appear on your credit card/bank account.


Does GEOX repair or resole shoes?
If your shoes need to be refurbished you may take them to a local shoe repair shop.

Please make sure that the breathable part of the sole is not tampered with. In this case, GEOX cannot guarantee that the patented system will function properly.

How can I clean my shoes?
Please do not machine-wash or dry your GEOX shoes, as this can damage them.

Do not clean perforations with sharp objects.

As with all other shoes, GEOX should be stored in a dry, well-aired place.

For regular sneakers, we recommend that you hand wash the shoes in warm water with a soft cloth. Please allow them to air dry naturally after washing, as the heat from the dryer can also damage them.

For smooth leather, the shoes will need cleaning and care with shoe creams or polishes. Select a neutral shade or a color nearest to the color of the shoes. Remove all dust with a damp cloth. Never polish wet shoes.

For suede and nubuck, clean shoes while they are dry. Brush with a dry rubber sponge or soft brush to eliminate any clinging dirt. Regular use of a soft brush will keep the nap of the suede free from dust. Do not allow suede shoes to become wet or damp.
